Alaskan Salmon Burgers: a healthy choice from Costco
Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 21:05 I pulled these out of the freezer the other night for a quick meal and boy, they were really tasty. Unlike a lot of frozen salmon burgers these are moist, and really have the taste and texture of wild caught salmon. For convenience, they can’t be beat, since they’re designed for the food service industry, and are supposed to be put in the pan or on the grill while still frozen.

The good news nutritionally: there are 0 grams of trans fat, and 810 mg of Omega-3. Each 2.8 ounce burger is just 130 calories, with a meager 230 mg ( 10% of daily total ) of sodium. They contain nothing that my grandmother wouldn’t have understood as a food ingredient - one of my measures of what real food should be.
