A Top Tip For Keeping That Expensive Produce Fresh and Crisp
Friday, August 1, 2008 at 15:23 By golly, these things really do work. Actually, I’ve been using them for some time now (about two years), buying them at the local Wild Oats store. But once they closed and Whole Foods went in I haven’t been able to find them.
That’s just one reason the internet was invented.
As soon as I couldn’t get them locally, I noticed that carrots lost their snap, the romaine became decidedly unrobust, and cucumbers went icky.
I found the website and ordered three more just the other day. They last for about 3 months, and at $13.99 for a pak of three, that saves a lot of tossed produce (which I’m sure you’ve noticed it getting more ridiculously expensive by the day …. 75 cents for a lemon?).
Oh, yes …. I tried those green bags too. Not a happy experience. I’d stay away from those.
