Mango: easy to buy, select, slice, dice and prepare
Monday, June 22, 2009 at 21:50 I grew up in South Florida, and we had mango trees in the backyard - along with Chinese Loquats, bananas, grapefruit, kumquats, papayas and avocados. Not those stingy little avocados you see in the store with the rough skin. I’m talking Florida Avocados. The huge thin, smooth skinned variety.
But my favorite has always been the beautifully scented fruit of the mango. It goes with so many dishes from meats to desserts to salads … and even just by itself.
There are actually many varieties of mango.
