Latitudes fills the bill for a wonderful lunch in Auburn, California
Monday, December 21, 2009 at 21:25 We’re always in a hurry, either rushing over to the Bay Area or back to Reno. It also seems like we end up stopping to grab a bite at the same blah restaurants. I’m almost tempted to pack a lunch rather than spending good money for inferior eats.
So here we were, blasting back to Reno again, but this time I had the new iphone in hand. I was able to browse restaurants ahead and make some strategic decisions. Aha! We found a winner.
Latitudes is handy, right there across from the big old Placer County courthouse in old town Auburn, California, right off of Interstate 80. For something so easy to get to, you’d think we would have discovered it sooner. I was drawn by their nifty, very user friendly, website that featured all sorts of creative home grown, home made menu items combined with a philosophy of sustainable, fresh food that they would gladly modify for vegetarians or the simply fussy. They emphasize global cuisine that is nutritionally well balanced. Wow. That sounds like me talking.
