Try the tastes of Africa: U Ku Va iAfrica Sauces

I started to buy these sauces for Natacha, hoping that it would provide an authentic touch of home for her, and she says they are the real deal. We all have gone nuts over them - they’re really different from the standard vinegar based mexican and cajun style hot sauces we’re used to. These African sauces, from a Fair Trade company, have much more complexity and depth than the usual hot sauces.

Zulu Fire Sauce is characteristic of South Africa and is made with carrots, sweet potatoes, chili peppers, herbs and spices.

Malawi Gold is milder, and richer - made from sweet potatoes.

Swazi Momma Mamba is a creamy green cilantro based sauce with jalepenos, herbs and spices.

Peri Peri Mombasa is a unique sauce from east Africa with the peri-peri chili mixed with herbs and spices.

These sauces are great on everything you’d normally put hot sauces on, from eggs to grilled fish, to hash browned potatoes. You can buy these sauces in 4 ounce bottles in the sauces aisle at Whole Foods in Reno.
