    Reid talks about RNC attacks

Late last week a top-secret RNC PowerPoint presentation found its way to the press, and the contents were pretty unbelievable. You probably saw this image in the news:

It’s been a long time since I watched cartoons with my kids, but I recall Scooby Doo as a pretty good character. He solved mysteries and caught the bad guys, pretty impressive — especially for a dog. But you know, it’s true what they say: politics is a very rough business.

To that end, you probably didn’t see this image in the news:

That’s the RNC’s list of top targets in the Senate to defeat this year, and I’m right there at the top. Surprised? Me neither. National Republicans are coming after me with everything they’ve got, and I need you on my side to fight back.

I’m making light of this RNC presentation, but it’s really not funny. Using fear to motivate supporters is cowardly politics. Moreover, it’s an admission that Republicans have no platform to run on other than saying ‘NO’ to just about everything, and obstructing change that Nevadans, and Americans, deserve.

So while the RNC makes cartoons and rants about socialism, I’ll continue working to pass real health insurance reform that will expand coverage and control cost. While we’re getting things done, Republicans can attack and obstruct if they wish, but I think in the end the voters will rightly judge them harshly for it.

I’ve run a lot of campaigns, and I know from experience that I can’t win this race without the help of all my great supporters. Please, consider joining our grassroots campaign with a small online contribution today.

Thank you so much for your support, and your work to keep Nevada, and America, moving forward.
