« Reid brings in $57 million in 'green' jobs for Nevada | Main | This is why I support Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid »

Reid meets with Senate leadership on health insurance reform

Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid ( D-NV) is saying all the right things …  and I’m gonna hold him to making the public option happen. It is the litmus test for progressive Democrats simply because it’s the right thing to do for all the right reasons. I would rather no reform measure than a ‘half baked, kinda-sorta’ one that suits the insurance lobby, but it will take the voices of all Americans to make sure our Congress understands this.

Please contact Senator Reid’s office and voice your support for real health insurance reform. If you’re reading this and not a Nevadan, then contact your Senators and ask them to support Senator Reid and stand strong for the public option.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid discusses the start of the health care merger process following his meeting with Senators Chris Dodd and Max Baucus, and White House officials. Today’s meeting was an opportunity to discuss key issues in the HELP and Finance health reform bills. “I look forward to the President signing a health care bill in the not-distant future,” said Reid.
