Labels Consignment Boutique rocks in new downtown digs

I’ve been shopping at Labels practically since Blythe opened at her original location on Moana and Lakeside, but over the years her success began to overwhelm the store. She had to turn down great merchandise simply because she had nowhere to store it until she could get it out onto the floor.

Today, I made a special point of getting down to her brand spanking new locationat 601 W. First Street, and I was just wowed! The building - which she bought - is bright and expansive. You could throw a party in there and dance. The old location was well, ‘cozy’.

Bright and breezy inside and out

Now you really have room to look, and don’t have to run outdoor in the sunshine to get a better idea of the colors.

With her usual style and panache, Blythe has created a place for us gals to hang out, have some tea and chat with friends while we puruse the high quality, designer duds that were gently pre-owned.

As my sizes have changed over the years, I’ve bought and sold a lot of clothing at Labels, and I can tell you from experience that Blythe only accepts clothing in excellent condition. She will not take something that is in the least bit questionable, so you really get what you pay for.

All the high end designers are at Labels

Blythe specializes in Armani, and I tried on a suit that I would just die to have. Alas, the size wasn’t quite me. She also carries Escada, Gucci, Louis Feraud, St John, Chanel, Valentino and many of the oh, so trendy lines. You’ll also see occasional pieces that are direct from Europe.

There were great selections of skirts, tops, suits, dresses and a huge rack of just jeans.

Typically, I walked out with two new scarves … to go with the 40 or 50 I already own. She always has a great selection of accessories, shoes, belts, jewelry and hats to make outfits out of finds.

The parking is easy along the tree lined streets, and nice little cafes are nearby.
