Don't cry for them, Argentina. They're hot. Steamy. And, Republicans

It’s been an absolute watershed of upstanding, family oriented, superbly righteous Republicans with a ‘bright future in the party’ taking a dip in the old ‘cheatin’ on your wife’ pool of late.

First the revelations of Nevada Governor, Jim Gibbons’ extra-marital affairs with not one, but count ‘em, two or more ‘ladies’, then the stunning confession under threat of extortion by Senator John Ensign, rounded out by the now not so puzzling disappearance of South Carolina Republican Governor Mark Sanford.

I need a scorecard - or dance card. Each and every time I walk through the living room at my house and see the photo of me standing between Senators Reid and Ensign, I remember thinking: Ensign. Hottie.

Ah, how things change.

Friday Fish Wrap: 16 January, 2009

The excitement was palpable, and hearts were thumping this evening as the very last of the contested elections in the entire United States, and the only one to be decided by a draw of cards. Here’s the funny part: Kim Toulouse and Chris Sewell did this once before and it was a tie. Anyway, it was so iconic of Nevada that it should be decided in this manner. I was, for a moment at least, proud of my state. I probably would have been even prouder had some gals from the Mustang Ranch been in attendance - it would have made for a complete picture - and more entertaining one, to boot - of the Nevada.
