I'm just going to sit tight and keep those fingers crossed

I’ve been going like a bat out of hell today, big dinner party with relatives here this evening, so that took up a lot of time that I might have been obsessing about the election. I’ve already voted, of course, but it’s hard to take your eyes off of the massive coverage. Tuesday is going to be totally weird.

Fall back to a new beginning and new ways of seeing

With the change of time, I immediately get a bit sad for the loss of daylight at the end of my day. I found myself doing housecleaning in the semi-twillight this afternoon. But the good news: I had more energy and was going, going, going like some sort of energizer bunny.

That’s the way it is with autumn for me. It’s my time of rejuvenation.

    Jill Derby for Congress

Hey, she’s not got as much money as that one - you know, Dean ‘do nothing’ Heller.

So now it’s down to the ‘nut cuttin’ as we old time Westerners say. It’s time to squeeze a bit more out of the old wallet. This woman has the chops to do the job, and even more importantly, we need to get a majority to back the changes that Obama hopes to accomplish.

And if you are a woman, you must vote for Jill Derby. She understands womans rights, gender equality and all that we know will advance women - and our society in the coming years.

Here’s where ya go to send your small but important contribution:

Where Do You Stand Politically ... and what does that say about you?

The Pew Research Center has a fascinating series of quizzes that tell you where you stand in “Beyond Red vs Blue”. Just complete the questions and your scores are not only evaluated but then you can look at a number of issues and see just how you fit in with the rest of America.

Take the test and do explore the other interactive areas. I can assure you, it’s all informative and could, if we’re lucky, bring us closer together as a society and help wean us off this strict political polarization that is corrosive, destructive and artificial …. created by spinmeisters and lobbyists to divvy up the spoils.
