Sunday, April 19, 2009 at 18:17 This was a wonderful weekend, and I got a lot done around the house and yard, so I’m especially proud of myself - ovens are sparkling clean and new looking, the koi pond is clean and the bio-pump working and on and on. The weather was outstanding and the sun felt good with temperatures near 80 today. So for an extra treat, I thought - hey, let’s go to the Earth Day festivities at Idlewild Park.
Sigh.
I love diversity. It’s what makes the world go round.
Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 16:43 It’s hard to mention this, sitting here with a martini, but the CDC has named Washoe County ( where Reno sits) as the stumbling lush of counties nationwide. Yes, we drink more than anybody anywhere, and I’m not talking designer bottled water. A full 62.4% of Washoe County residents have had at least one drink within the last 30 days.
