Getting over the ridiculous health claims
Monday, December 21, 2009 at 22:33 It seems like there’s new crop of magical cure-all claims everyday - or at least in every issue of a popular magazine. It’s one reason that I avoid the ‘health food store’ and vitamin shops for the few supplements that do seem to have some real scientific evidence backing up my use of them.
I don’t need somebody selling me snake oil that just might harm me.
In the current edition of the UC Berkeley Wellness Letter (January 2010 issue) that came today, there are a couple of interesting debunkings of evergreen cure alls: aloe and colonic cleansing.
