Ernest Madu: Bringing world-class health care to the poorest

The problems posed by inadequate healthcare in Africa is daunting, to say the least. Beset by war and political crisis, you might be tempted to think that treatment of things like cardiovascular disease is only a dream. Ernest Madu is a contrarian. He points out that Africa, having made significant strides in tackling HIV-Aids will soon come to a point where non-communicable disease takes the number one spot - and is now the most underserved sector in African healthcare. A new crisis is looming, but Madu sees hope by looking at a new paradigm.
