How much RAM memory do you have or need?

I’m now using Adobe Elements Premier 7 with my camcorder and have been seeing more ‘hang ups’ and freezes with my computer, in spite of having put 1 gb of RAM memory in a while back. Working with Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 has also been very problematic and something more RAM didn’t fix.
