More jobs in a greener Nevada? Could be so.

Lookout, it’s going to be raining $97.5 million in economic recovery funding from the U.S. Department of Energy for weatherization, the state energy program, and to provide cash assistance for geothermal development in northern Nevada.

This should be great news to Nevadans who are either unemployed or underemployed and trying to keep the foreclosure wolf at bay. The geothermal industry is beginning to really take off here in Nevada, and speaking for myself as the employee of a company who could really benefit from doing business with geothermal companies, I say ‘yippee’.

Being from the Miami area, I laughingly accuse Florida of existing only to make Nevada look good by comparison, but that may have to change after having seen this article in the Miami Herald:
